Moses was a man unlike any other among the sons of Israel. He was selected by YHWH to lead the House of Jacob out of bondage from Egypt to the promised land given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The role of a prophet is not to be taken lightly. When the children of Israel go astray, the prophet is chosen to send warnings and to lead the people back in righteousness. It is a tremendous responsibility when having to challenge people and their debased conditions.
